Overview

What it is & when you need it

Gas is unforgiving of shortcuts. A connection that isn't properly sealed, a line that's undersized, or an appliance installed without certification isn't just a compliance problem — it's a safety risk to your home and everyone in it. That's why gas work must legally be carried out by a licensed gas fitter.

ClearFlow holds full gas work licences and installs to AS/NZS standards every time. Whether you're connecting a new cooktop, running a line to an outdoor BBQ or kitchen, extending gas to a new appliance, or fitting out a commercial kitchen, we design, install, and pressure-test the system properly.

Every job is finished with a compliance certificate — your proof that the work meets the standard and your protection for insurance and resale. If you ever smell gas or suspect a leak, turn off the supply, ventilate the area, and call us immediately.

How we do it

A clear, four-step process.

1

Site safety assessment

We assess your existing gas setup, appliance requirements, and the safest, most efficient way to run the line.

2

Design & quote the run

We design a correctly-sized gas line for your appliances and provide a clear, upfront quote.

3

Install to AS/NZS standards

We install all pipework and fittings to Australian standards, using the right materials for a safe, lasting result.

We pressure-test the system, connect your appliances, and issue a gas compliance certificate.

FAQs

Common questions

Yes. Any fixed gas connection — including a BBQ plumbed to natural gas — must be carried out by a licensed gas fitter and comes with a compliance certificate. We provide this with every job.

Definitely. Outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and alfresco BBQs are popular jobs for us. We'll design a correctly-sized line, install it to standard, and certify the work.

A rotten-egg smell, a hissing sound near a line or appliance, or a gas bill that's climbed without reason can all indicate a leak. If you suspect one, turn off the gas at the meter, ventilate the area, avoid ignition sources, and call us straight away.
